Early in its establishment, CQI recognized the need for young people and parents
to be involved in the planning and quality improvement of their systems of
care. Activities here include:
In 2000 and 2001, CQI worked with young people to develop a survey for
adolescents receiving outpatient care, and a separate one for their
parents/guardians.
In 2001, CQI received a consumer seed action grant from Center for Health Care
Strategies (a project of Robert Wood Johnson Foundation) to establish the
Young Adult in Transition Citizenship Project.
In 2003, CQI conducted an evaluation of the Massachusetts Coordinated Family
Focused Care program, interviewing a set of parents who were in the program and
a set of parents who were no longer in the program.
Currently, CQI is conducting an evaluation of an innovative wraparound program
in Massachusetts that serves MassHealth recipients by interviewing a set of
parents who have completed the program.
CQI is also evaluating Family Stabilization Teams programs by conducting
interviews with parents a period of time after they have been discharged from
the program
